Your Costco and Sam's Club memberships work in Hawaii exactly like home, and the warehouse/bulk math beats Waikiki convenience-store prices by a mile — one first-day run for water, sunscreen, snacks, and beach gear can quietly save a family a few hundred dollars over a trip. Prices run a bit above mainland (everything arrives by ship), but nowhere near resort prices.

Warehouse clubs
Your mainland membership card works here — same card, same $1.50 hot dog, same rotisserie chicken. What changes is the cargo: fresh poke by the tub, macadamia nuts, Kona coffee, reef-safe sunscreen, and beach chairs and coolers priced below what Waikiki charges to rent them. All four warehouses have gas stations with some of the cheapest fuel on the island, and all four run the same hours pattern: weekdays 10 AM–8:30 PM, Saturdays from 9:30 AM, Sundays to 6–7 PM.
Gas + food court 525 Alakawa St, Honolulu, HI 96817 — The original Hawaii Costco (opened 1988) and the closest warehouse to Waikiki and the airport. Full food court, gas station with island-cheap Kirkland gas, and the famous parking lot — go before 11 AM or after 5 PM if you value your sanity. The everything store
No membership, no fuss — five supercenters, every one of them open 6 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week. Groceries, pharmacy, beach gear, electronics, and the forgotten-charger emergencies of vacation life. For visitors, the Keeaumoku store across from Ala Moana quietly doubles as the island's best discount souvenir stop: the same Hawaiian Host chocolates and beach towels the Waikiki shops sell, at mainland prices.

Famous souvenir aisles: Hawaiian Host chocolates, beach gear, and leis at mainland prices instead of Waikiki prices. There's an L&L Drive-Inn inside, because of course there is. The red bullseye
Six Targets — but only one of them is a Waikiki store you can walk to: the two-level Kuhio Ave store. The other five are where Oahu lives: Ala Moana, Salt Lake, Kailua, Kaneohe's Windward Mall, and Kapolei. Most carry a Starbucks and a CVS pharmacy inside, groceries included, at prices close to mainland — the familiar red-store run, just with better snacks in the local aisle.
Walkable from Waikiki hotels 2345 Kuhio Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815 — The only Target you can walk to from a Waikiki hotel — two levels in the International Market Place block on Kuhio Ave, with groceries, beachwear, and a Starbucks. Forgot-it-on-the-mainland problems get solved here. Hours: Open daily 8 AM–11 PM.
Inside Ala Moana Center 1450 Ala Moana Blvd, Ste 2401, Honolulu, HI 96814 — Two stories inside Ala Moana Center — the big Target run for Waikiki stays without a Waikiki-store compromise. The rest of the mainland row. Yes — Hawaii has Sam's Club, two of them, and your membership works at both. And when the condo project or the beach-house fix calls, Oahu has four Home Depots, tool and truck rental included. Beyond these, the same retail neighborhoods hold the rest of the familiar names: Longs Drugs (Hawaii's CVS — same company, island name, everywhere), Don Quijote (the Kaheka store is five minutes from the Keeaumoku Walmart and Sam's), Safeway, Best Buy, and Lowe's. If it's a mainland chain, it almost certainly lives within a mile of a pin on this map.
